I just picked one up at that price and wanted to get your guys opinion. it's off ebay and the seller appears very legit. he says he bought it with the iPad but decided he then wanted the m1 laptop, so decided to sell.

Just get a used preowned one at Best Buy or Amazon.com and take it to any Apple store. And they will swap it for a new one (refurbished) But Apples Refurbished is as good as new.
Also get a Gift Receipt on BestBuy or Amazon that way Apple can’t see you bought it Used/PreOwned.

I did a peek at the latest ones sold on eBay as of right now.

The latest one is $145 and one a short but before that was $131 and the lowest I saw in recent sales was $100. So I'd say, you got an OK deal, but not the best deal.

You can always let eBay tell you if you are getting a good deal or not before you commit to purchasing.

Every Apple accessory I got from eBay so far were very looking fakes. keep that in mind and good luck, that's a good price imo.
