Is 256GB SSD enough for the Retina iMac?

Excuse my ignorance, but how exactly can I check which SSD is inside my iMac?

I ordered a 256 GB internal SSD and a 1TB external SSD (Samsung MZ-7TE1T0BW Serie 840 EVO ) via USB 3.0 (which is fast enough for storing photos etc. and they are really affordable now!).
