Can the screen detect pressure on points close to each other or on the other side of the screen? at 2 or 3 or 4 places at once?

No, not via iOS by itself.

But it will detect two different pressures in one place, and depending on how you design the context menu, you can give your users all kinds of choices.

You could even design the heavier pressure to release a different context menu, but this is on you as the developer to design.

so the 3d touch layer can only detect pressure globally across the screen?

The capacitive sensor knows the location and the 3D touch knows the pressure.

Yes, but can two locations at once be "force touched"?
