Currently in Boston, moving to central florida in August. Plenty of 3G in both places.

3G is available, and a few days ago (pointedly: before Job's keynote address) I couldn't wait to snap up a 3G iPhone but now I am waiting for v3 phone:D

I have 3G in most places, but not where I live ( a quiet village ), but I spend most of my time in 3G areas. I'm in the south of England.

No 3G for me at my home or my workplace. Oh well, WiFi in both places anyway. =P

regards,
-c.

Nothing in Lansing, MI. I'll just stick with my 1st gen until 3G is in this area.

Is there somewhere that you can view which cities will be getting 3G and when?

Oh yeah.. the other places I'd go..

3G in Sydney. 3G in Melbourne. 3G in Brisbane. 3G in Perth (all Optus).

Still looking for it in Cairns. Who were the other two carriers that were going to have the iPhone in Oz?

There's really no way to tell when you'll get it, unless you personally know someone who works on the towers. The people at AT&T told me that 3G would be available in Spring 2007, and we actually didn't get it until early Summer 2008. The AT&T reps don't know jack-squat about when certain places will be getting 3G.

Currently Petaluma California does not have 3G although Santa Rosa to the direct North of us and San Francisco to the South are covered so I hope it gets covered eventually it is extremely lame that I can drive 20 minutes away to get 3G but I can't get it in my town. I think I will still upgrade though since I'm in areas that are covered enough of the time.

I live on the coast of NW Florida... no 3G here and can't see when any might be coming. The best I could probably hope for would be Pensacola, and I'm too far from that city to have that be helpful. If I hadn't been under contract with Verizon I would have purchased the original iPhone and would be keeping it at this point. I know someone locally who has one, and the EDGE network, while not perfect, isn't that terrible.

I'm pretty surprised at the numbers on the poll, though... never thought 80% of respondents would have 3G coverage.

I wonder how many people would have voted the same a year ago. I am stuck on EDGE :(. The stupid part is Richmond and Dale City both have 3G and I am right in the middle. You would think AT&T would at least cover I-95 with 3G as there are a lot of business travellers. Sigh :(.
