Is 3G iPhone same size as original?

Looking at ordering a new case for the 3G phone. Is it the same size?

yes but it will require a iPhone 3G compatible case because it has an extra sensor and a tad thicker middle

it's slightly different. slightly thicker overall but thinner at the edges. same height but wider by a millimeter.

It will be close, but more curved on the back. The front for screen savers should be the same. The sizing template for official version 2 cases was given out to case makers some time ago with the new sensor locations. A loose case should be OK, a tight form fitting case like the Agent 18 that I have- you should wait for a version 2.

Which is equivalent to about .02 inches. So, it pretty much is the same size.

In any case, I prefer a hard case so it'll seem that I'll be waiting until the new accessories will be released.
