What battery issue? If your iPhone battery isn't lasting you a day or two you need to exchange it, not wait for a software fix. There have been a few times that I haven't charged it for 3 days, seriously.

same here...best battery out of all models so far.

No kidding… It is probably the best battery life of any phone I have ever had. I had a samsung Omnia that would last 1.5 days and the Motorola Droid would normally last less than a day. I used all three phones about the same.

For all of those Droid lovers out there, your crazy! I got SICK of having to charge my phone at every opportune time. Seriously, I got in my car and had to plug in my phone to make sure it didnt die when I was at work. After work, plugged it in to make sure it didn't die before dinner. And then after dinner plugged it in for the night. Fail by Google. LOL

I did not think my battery was up to par and the Apple store said it tested fine. After another couple of weeks I insisted they swap my phone and my new one is unbelievable. I could go three days without charging. My first phone was dead by 8PM and I started the day at 9am.

If you think you have a battery problem, you probably do.

What are you guys running your settings at though? Like are you using push, brightness level, how frequent do you fetch, etc?

Push is always off. Brightness is at about 35% with auto turned on. Fetch off (although hourly would be the best choice if you really needed it on)
Location/Bluetooth services off as well

Bluetooth on, Wifi on, Push On, Brightness a little over 50% with AutoBrightness On. No problems for me! :)

Whenever I am in my car, I listen to the iPhone with Bluetooth.

About 2 days ago mine started sucking down the juice like there's no tomorrow. Mid morning I'm @ 63%. No idea what's causing it. I've closed all apps and power cycled several times.

Waiting to apply 4.1 as that will effectively "reset" the phone as well. If I have the issue after 4.1 I'm making a genius appt.

Wifi, location on, bluetooth off. Two accounts pushing, 50% brightness or more, auto brightness on, Skype running in background. Normal day of checking mail, web surfing, listening to some music, playing games, etc. I still have 20-30% at the end of the day (say 7:30 to 10:30). If I turn off Push for those accounts with otherwise similar usage I'll have 50-60% left at the end of the day.

My girlfriend took her phone in for a similar problem. The genius said it could have been nonresponsive apps. If your apps get corrupted they won't shut down even if you tell them to manually. This keeps your battery draining as the phone tries to run these dead apps. If you have too many of these it's a serious drain.

Any genius can run the diagnostic to find out what apps are behaving badly. Delete them, restore the phone and redownload them.

That's what the genius told us.

I use Mobile Me so I think Push is on. I use Fetch for Yahoo.

I use my iPhone without changing any settings out of the box. What ever default is. I just enter my email accounts.

I don't use mine as an iPod or videos. Just email and web surfing.
