Is 6 Channel the same as 5.1?

Just need to know if this file is 5.1 sound?? Quicktime says its 6 channel and Ive never heard of such. It doesnt play on atv1, and im yet to test it on atv 2.

How do I convert it to 5.1 if needed?

5.1 is 5 channel sound + subwoofer channel (.1)
6 channel is just another way of saying that.

Cool. Figured as much. Though now I'm left wondering why my atv1 doesn't even see it, as it supports 5.1 I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not certain, but I think that ATV only supports stereo AAC. For 5.1, I believe that AC3 is required.
