The funny thing is that I work for Best Buy and this site is owned by them. Most likely they accepted a trade-in and are now trying to maximize on it. Perhaps someone even thought it was an early MacBook? No idea.

One can only hope that it was simple as that. But I highly doubt it and perhaps that is something that was accidentally re-added to the inventory. I have no clue but ti thought that the price of that machine was noteworthy.

You see this from time to time - there's a guy who's trying to hock a quad for 699 on my local craigslist. I've tried to get him down to a more reasonable (but still fairly generous) price...no dice.
