Why do i get the feeling i'm the only one who thinks 8GB should be the standard? Right now, i have 4GB swaped, 6GB Page ins and 10GB Page outs. The mac is not as fast as it were before. The basic 15" MBP has 4GB, but they are faster - do you think that will help me? I need to upgrade right away to, at least, 8GB once i get the new MBP, don't you think? I really think so... After that, will remove the superdrive and place an SSD in there as well - that will keep the swaping faster and the load of apps and apps-related data.
