Is a i5 MacBook Air (2012) sufficient still?

I've been using a 2012 daily for four years and it's always performed like a champ. I wish it had better battery life and the 4GB is an issue at times, but on the whole I still think it's a more than capable machine (and should continue to be for another 18-24 months).
