I remember that well - I used to alternate between my Mazda MX-5 convertible and my Mitsubishi Pajero 4X4 convertible - the difference in eye level was about 3 feet!

What's really alarming to me is when I see a MINI(BMW Mini or whatever you want to call them) behind me and see that the driver is sitting about a foot above my trunk!

At least here in the US, a lot of makers are ditching cars(i.e. sedans, coupes) nearly completely as SUVs and CUVs(aka minivans with hinged doors) are the preference. Ford, for example, I think is only keeping the Mustang and everything else is either an SUV, CUV, or pickup truck. It won't be long before I'll be able to weave in and out of traffic on the MG by driving under other cars!

Depends on what you need it for but, generally speaking, no. Even this forums preeminent user "traded in" his G5 quad for a Mac Pro as his DD.

I personally can't see a G5 as cost effective. I did an experiment recently to see how good of a hackintosh I could build for cheap.
$150 Dell Optiplex 9020 i7 4770 came with 16GB RAM can be upgraded to 32GB.
$50 500W EVGA PSU
$50 500GB SSD
$125 RX 570 8GB.
2 hours of time to hackintosh it.
For $375 I now have a "mac" on par with a 2013 iMac. With a better GPU.

As others have said, it depends on what your daily needs are.

If your needs are webcentric, then probably not. Modern websites need modern browsers and modern CPUs to work well. Something like web-based job-tracking software, or Google Docs, wouldn't work. The latest versions of InDesign and friends obviously won't work either, so if your job requires them you're out of luck.

You could use one for home projects or screwing around.

I have a G5 quad with 16gb memory, no SSD yet, AMD ATI RADEON x1900xt. It’s a nice system, of course it’s LCS based, but never had issues with it at all. I am trying to decide what to do with it.. as most of my work is done on my PB G4 titanium 1Ghz. I am also afraid to use it as my electric Bill will go up.

sadly, I may sell it.
