Not fixed for me. 10.13.4, 2013 13" MacBook Pro retina. So. Annoying.

Interesting, have had random Contacts issues with iCloud sync between my devices.
But the main issue with iCloud has been Calendar & iOS 11 that doesn’t sync at all.

Glad I didn’t upgrade to HighSierra yet to make this iCloud worst ever **** worse.
And that I saw this thread before doing it. Sierra is pretty ok with the iCloud sync that I use now.
Stopped use iCloud for Calendar. Using Calendar app on my NAS instead, it just works.

And engineers are fumbling in the dark about this lack of totally iCloud sync re Calendar & random lack of Contacts sync that stopped with iOS 11 for me.

Until I found this thread I thought the problems I’ve been having with syncing Contacts (and Mail and Calendar) were my own dumb fault, but it’s a problem many people are having and no one seems to have a solution. I’ve spent hours googling the issue and even bought David Pogue’s High Sierra “bible,” and haven’t found a fix. While it hasn’t been a disaster for me it has been a PITA. Shame on Apple!

Not fixed for me either on my '15 rMBP and another issue that just popped up. Once I edit a contact (say, I update their address or email), their profile picture will be gone... Only to appear again later. This gets annoying on my Messages where I'll see a contact picture one minute and gone another.

And yes, I reported this, they escalated me to a senior advisor who then passed it on to the engineers, and they had no idea about it or what to do...

It really is unfortunate that there is no solution. I am not holding my breath towards a further update, this will hopefully be fixed in the next macOS...

[doublepost=1521299855][/doublepost]I've been having the same issue; contacts get updated on iphone, ipad, and imac, but not macbook. Thanks for the info everyone! Hope the next update fixes it.

I had this problem, too. Known issue with High Sierra. I have MacBook Pro, 10.13.5 & iCloud was working on iPhone and on www.icloud, syncing just fine, BUT not on computer, contacts would just disappear when trying to enter on computer, computer would not take updates and computer would not sync. I don't remember every step, I'm just a lay person who a tech helped over the phone!

I turned iCloud off for contacts, then had to go to Library (a hidden file, I think it was like option and something), and Application Support / Address Book files - and I made a temp folder on desktop in case anything went wrong, and there were files I moved out (not just the 3 that others have written about, but it was like all the files of the whole Address Book folder) and then turned sync back on on iCloud and it repopulated and voila. It was scary to move those files out!!! and again, I'm not sure of the whole order or exactly what happened, but it WORKED.

Make sure you back up your computer!!!! And make sure you HAD a back up before moving files. (I knew I could get everything back if need be b/c I exported all the Vcards to a thumb drive first.)

See if an Apple tech can walk you through that. Or I'll come back and post the exact steps if I can get my tech friend back. Good luck!

Currently testing Mojave and it has been fixed.
Hope so! On High Sierra, the only way to fix it was to turn iCloud off and back on (major pain, my photo library is huge and it had to redownload again), and it'd work for a few days then just stop working again. Not sure of the reason.

I'm sure it seems fixed for you in Mojave, but I'd wait a few days and play around, and then see if it stops working like HS did. Could you please report back after a few days?

No problem. Currently on the latest version of Mojave and no issues whatsoever. Glad they've finally been fixed!

Yay! What a relief.

High Sierra was a hot mess of an OS, for sure.

And it was supposed to be the one with performance improvements... Haha.

I had so many issues on my iMac with it... I have never been happier to try a buggy Beta out.
