I might do it, but every time I go to the Apple Store and play with an X it feels so teeny tiny, especially when you launch the camera and the frame gets sooo much smaller because it is much narrower.

That being said, I recently downsized my wallet and I realized that I got used to have one huge tumor in each pocket (Wallet + iPhone) and now I kinda feel the need to reduce the other tumor too.

Has anyone here switched from a Plus to the X? How was your experience?

*downsizing

I prefer it. I love bigger screens with Android but hated my 6 plus because of the top and bottom bezels. Got a 7 then a Note 8 then the X and love it. You get a bigger screen but in the iPhone 7 form factor ( yes it is and the slight millimeter difference is a moot point)

I think I’m going to. I’ve had the 6+, 6S+, 7+, and 8+, and have gotten a little tired of the size. I normally carry a purse anyway but when I don’t, my 8+ tends to drag my shorts/jeans down when I carry it in the back pocket, and I hate that. I’m really excited to go back to a smaller form factor now—this is gonna feel like my first *new* phone since 2014.

This is my plan. I’m going from an 8 Plus to a Xs. Pretty excited to be going down in size.

I’m doing the same! Especially considering the screen size is the same as my 8+. But also because I can’t justify the higher cost to have the Xs Max 256gb...

I made that transition last year. The iPhone X size is fine. Much easier to hold with a very big screen.

I did last year and I much prefer the smaller size. After a few minutes you are used to it and it's not that big of a deal. You're not missing out on much unless you use your phone in landscape all the time.

Since the Max is the same size as the Plus, why not keep the same size and get more screen? Unless you really didn't like the physical size, then, I hear you.

I had the Plus and waited a year for the X bugs to get worked out. Max, here I come! :D

Same. I had the 6 Plus/6s Plus/7 Plus before going to X. I always felt like I was going to drop the Plus size phones. The X/Xs size is goldilocks, for me.

Tried it last year and traded the X for the 8+. Couldn’t stand the loss in width of the screen.

Yup, got the 8+ for the camera, but wasn't sure about the size.

Too big for me. I will "downgrade" to an Xs

Quick question: do they become on sale Friday at midnight EDT or PDT?

I had 2 different versions of the Plus and then had the X. I was able to adjust to the size of the X just fine but I do miss the extra real estate a tiny bit. I think it was most noticeable for me typing on the keyboard. In the the past, the Plus versions had more features than the regular versions so it was more compelling to go with the larger phones. I am going to upgrade to the Max from the X but somewhat reluctantly. To me, the only reason to go with an S variant over the X is the screen size. If the 11S Max (or whatever they'll be named then and assuming there is a Max) is a similar to the 11 Max I'll probably skip that version.

The next killer feature I see is around the battery life and/or charging. There is technology out there (granted it is in it's infancy) to really be wireless when it comes to charging. Implement something like WattUp from Energous or double the battery life and you'll have people lined up around the block buying phones.

My alarms is set for 2:40AM!

Since I'm pre-approved and can order from my phone, I set my alarm for 2:55 ;)
