I was pretty excited watching the keynote thinking it would be a great time to finally upgrade from my 11PM and although chaotic it was also fun trying to snag an early morning release phone due to pre-order issues, but now that I actually have my 15PM I'm feeling a bit of buyer's remorse.

The first thing I definitely noticed on it was the overheating (I'd account for this probably being due to setup/re-downloading), but my older phone has never gotten that toasty. I also noticed I have been getting a lot of eye strain/headaches when using it, but I've never had issues with my Oled switch. Not sure if my eyes just need to get adjusted to this? I also never realized how obtrusive the size of the new camera lens was on the newer iPhones from an aesthetic point of view.

I'm honestly surprised by how well my 11 PM has lasted and how I'm still pretty content with it even side by side with the newer 15 PM.

Just wondering if anyone else is considering returning their new phones?

Pretty underwhelmed switching from my 12pro.
Feels and looks smaller, although the same size I believe, main gripe is the internet, for whatever reason taking some amount of time to connect at first.
My 12pro straight in to my favourite sites on this the 15pro seems to take forever, once in still seems very laggy even on 5g.

I had a bit of buyers remorse upgrading to my 14 Pro from my 12 mini. You just have to give yourself time with it, and you'll be happy with your purchase. A lot of it could be FOMO, but I'd recommend just giving it at least until the end of your return window to see if you want to keep it or not. If you return it right away, you'll be thinking of all the what-ifs and might end up buying it again anyway.

Stepping up from 12 series I love everything about the 15PM.

Mine is perfect. There are no manufacturing faults, which usually only affect a low single digit percentile of users. When you have several million customers and a few dozen are vocal on forums then it is easy to be tricked into assuming that everyone has problems.

I always keep my expectations based in the real world and not some fantasy future that will never exist.

If the 15PM feels warm sometimes it's because we have the most powerful mobile CPU in the world in the palm of our hand. I don't expect it to be room or skin temperature always.

Stay clear from clickbait videos. Nobody cracks phones with the force of two arms in the real world. Nobody takes a knife to their phone. We don't buy a phone to review it quickly for ad revenue and refund it. We are real users.

Honestly, the FOMO could be it especially when pre-orders were flying through haha, but good advice! I've been trying to get myself to use my 15 more, but I've just been noticing I'd grab my 11 PM more often than my 15.

Yikes. not a good sign. One thing I really hate about my s22U. It's hot and lags. Hoping to not have to deal with that anymore moving to the 15PM.

I have a 12 Pro and was certain I’d be upgrading but now I’m reconsidering - I don’t like any of the colors this year, not crazy about the bigger nipple cameras either. I was mainly upgrading for 120hz and USB-C but thinking it might be worth waiting for the 16 if the base screen size is bigger

Gave back my regular 12 a month ago (was perfectly happy with it), but was on a 2 year give-back-or-buyout plan and the buyout was too high so I grabbed a discounted 13 for $849 CAD the day the 15's were announced, but the 13 basically IS the 12 so I was underwhelmed. Returned the 13 today for a standard 15 for $1129 CAD and am quite pleased with it, not a painful price increase for a 2-series jump from 13 to 15. I think it's a bit of a sleeper in the new series, with all the emphasis on the titanium pro's for a lot more $$$ and a month waitlist here. And contrary to what the interwebs say, my 13 cases fit the 15 perfectly (at least my flexy Amazon cheapies ;).

No, it just about fixes every complaint I had with my 14 Pro Max. Very happy with it.

I’m kind of shocked at all the complaints about overheating and battery life. Those were issues that I had on my 14PM but are nonexistent on my 15PM. The 15PM was even running cool during phone transfer/setup. My battery life has increased from 6-7 hours to 10-12 hours of screen-on time.

I’ve gone from the 12 Pro Max to the 15 Pro Max and thinking of sending it back as the differences aren’t that big in general use. I’ve had them side by side opening apps at the same time and there’s literally milliseconds in it. Dynamic island I was expecting more from. I’m yet to check the camera out fully yet so will give it another week and that could be the game changer but the one on the 12PM is really good anyway.

A few months ago I paid Apple for a battery replacement but they messed it up as the screen wouldn’t go back down so they gave me a brand new one so the one I’m using is pretty much brand new and has 100% battery health so I’m thinking I could save myself £1199 and send it back.

I’m having this same exact issue on my 15 pro max with the internet and 5g

The cameras seem like a downgrade to me for some reason, I am coming from the iPhone 14 pro max. They seem to be less sharp and have more artifacting when zooming in on the pics compared to the 14. I am somewhat disappointed in the 5x lens, but there hasn’t been a sunny day here since Friday to really try it out in full daylight. In cloudy conditions I am not impressed at all.

Maybe apple changed the post processing of pics and removed the automatic sharpening or something?

iPhone 11 user here.

Plan to go to 15PM.

Things i look forward to when I get mine:

5x zoom, improved picture camera and video quality which I say is significant over my iPhone 11

Bigger and better screen,
Newer chip

Finally being able to use 5G

Emergency service feature

Action button

Usb c finally

And other features and improvement that i don’t know of yet.

Yes the look and feel is similar for the most part to my 11.

If you’re underwhelmed then just

The overheating will settle. Depending on what's on your phone it's doing a lot of background work that your old phone hadn't done in a while.

As for the rest, well, at the end of the day it's just a phone. Apple always gets us hyped. I'm hovering over the buy/upgrade button myself and I have a 13 Pro. I don't need it, but it is shiny, new, shiny new, shiny new...
