I’ll watch a show and exit out and my progress isn’t saved in Netflix at all. Like I just started watching American horror story and got 3 episodes in and it shows no progress when I come back to Netflix. Like I never watched it. Same for other shows.

But if I watch it on my iPad or iPhone it works just like it should. Anybody else?

The same has been happening to me. This week my mom binge watched OITNB but it never saved her progress. And when it DID save her progress, it didn't sync to Netflix on other devices (mainly the Apple TV in the guest room). She watched the entire series but it still shows some that "haven't been watched". It sucks because the "resume" feature puts it back to the first episode that it has marked as "unwatched"

Getting the same thing here. Occurred on 12.0 and 12.0.1.

Also, Netflix every once in awhile gets confused between profiles. Last night, I switched to my profile and once it loaded it wanted me to continue watching Gilmore Girls. GILMORE GIRLS!!! Oh the humanity. My wife watches some horrible stuff.

And one more...I switched to Adguard DNS on our router a day or so before upgrading the 12, everything was great. After upgrading Netflix would crash on both the 4K and 4th gen ATV. Took awhile to figure out, but once I changed the DNS back to google everything worked again.

Yep, this has been going on for a while now. Just hopped over on to Netflix.com, and the last thing I had watched according to my history was Shooter, and that was weeks ago.

I really hope they get this sorted out, sooner rather than later.

Weird but I'm not having this issue at the moment.

I started watching Rogue One on the USA site off my tv's built in Netflix app and continued watching with the Netflix app on the Canadian site off my Apple tv 4k running tvOS 12.

Same problem here in the UK, since the TVOS update, very frustrating!

Happens all the time with the DC Universe app which has not been updated. I have not used Netflix in over a week so I will test to see if it will do that.

However I found a bug in many other apps I use all the time (Hulu, Starz, Amazon Video) if you pause it for a minute then resume it sometimes puts you back to the last place you paused. Again been doing this since the latest two iOS updates.

that makes sense
your TV app updated netflix
and the aTV app retrieved the playback progress

it would be interesting to see if you reversed the process how it would go
although it seems to be an occasional problem, so it might work fine

I've had the same problem recently
i know my aTV 4K hasn't updated netflix a couple times when i watched a TV episode
I can't say for sure about the aTV 4 though,

I did just have a thought, the episodes that didn't get marked as watched
I might have hit the "play next episode" button at the end of watching, as opposed to letting the episode i was watching end on it's own.

Same here, had my profile but my daughters favorites/recently watched. Annoying

I watched Netflix last night and it did not remember where I left off. It is not just Netflix but other apps are having this issue too the worst the updated DC Universe app which seems it might not be a DC Universe app problem.

BTW what Tv's are you all using. I wonder if it is a Sony XBR issue? If so I regret buying this POS TV so many issues should have gotten the Roku TV like I was going too.

This bug seems to have been fixed in the newest Netflix-update. At least on my end Netflix seems to remember things again and mark episodes correctly as watched.

Happy days.
