iPhone 13 mini Is anyone else’s 13 mini screen uneven?

Using my 13 mini last night on minimum brightness I noticed how uneven the display brightness is on dark images like settings in dark mode or any dark grey (5%) images. My 14 Pro max looks completely even on the exact same image at minimum brightness and my partners 13 mini is also much more even. I wondered if others had noticed this behaviour on their 13 mini’s?

I am still within my 14 day return window so wanted to see if this is normal?

My mini on the right in the first image and on the left next to my 14 Pro Max in the second.

Obviously the screens don’t look this bad in real life but the longer exposure indicates the uneven nature of the illumination.

Mine looks perfectly even, do not share your situation. The 12 mini was a carousel of returns due to uneven screens, but the 13 mini has been excellent since day one.

If your partner’s mini looks normal to you I would definitely return/exchange while you are within the window to do so.

It’s being collected today, fingers crossed the new one is ok.

My 12 mini did not exhibit this issue and had a very uniform screen.
