Is anyone going to sell their iPhone?
Probably my Treo 700wx with Sprint. Never used.
Are you mad!?
not a bad idea. it's a much better investment than say.. idk.. a PS3? lolol
Only if it sucks.
i've said it numerous times, i don't see an ebay market for these until they get unlocked. you're tied to at AT&T contract and there will supposedly be more than enough to satisfy demand. and if they do sell out AT&T is claiming you can order one and have it in 3-5 days. there's no point in selling iPhones considering you'd have to fetch about $1,000 before it's even close to profitable ($600 for phone + $175 for termination fee + $30 for activation fee + ~$80 for first month's service then take away eBay and PayPal fees).
3-5 days sounds perfect to me. I thought that ordering online meant waiting for weeks. I have guests in town, and unless I rudely leave them alone to fend for self Friday, I will have to order online. Even if I bought one Friday, I wouldn't be able to enjoy it w/company in the house.
im not selling my iphone, but im due for an equipment upgrade so i'm gonna buy two phones-- the iphone and some other one with a deep equipment discount --and sell the one that's not the iphone on ebay.
No, I won't be selling my iPhone.
What exactly are you planning on doing with/to your iphone
I might...if i dont like it i might sell it on ebay. but what are the chances of that.
While I'm sure people will try to sell their iPhones on ebay, I'm wondering how successful that'll actually be. With this kind of device I always hope that scalpers get effed over because they're buying a unit(s) that otherwise might've gone to someone who'd actually use it just so they can make a little bit of money off it. I was happy when a lot of PlayStation 3 scalpers got screwed, and I'll be happy to see the same happen to those who would scalp iPhones.
Unless you plan on selling at a deep discount, no one's going to want to buy the phone from you when they can get a new one in less than a week - roughly comparable to the time it'd take to get sent to them from you - from a reliable source.
Maybe some non-US buyers might, but, then, you'd be dealing with an overseas sale, and those can be dicey if you don't know the buyer. So, taking into account the aforementioned termination fees, monthly fees, and misc fees, you're basically going to end up eating the entire cost of the iPhone.
Unless you sell to Nigerian buyers. They're filthy rich and always in need of ways to get their money out of the country.
Not just no, but HELL NO. I don't care if someone offers me four figures for it, if I get one, it's mine all mine.
Well, I live in Germany but I would love to get the iPhone now, so if someone can buy it for me I would be gratefull!
If someone has interest and is willing to help me buy an iPhone, please send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
I'll sell mine when the second gen comes out and buy one of those.
Ah Hell Naw!
There's now way I'm going to be selling my iPhone.
It's my own, its my precious!
I am going to do that too...which ones are getting top prices right now?
Not no, but hell no! I'd sooner sell both my kidneys
The first one I get I am not selling, but I am sending it to John Dvorak. Then I will hire Paparazzi to photograph him smiling while he uses it in his backyard sunning topless out by his pool.
The second one I buy I will keep for me.
How much do you want for them?
yes. I'll sell teh iFone. When the second revision comes out!
I'll be donating two to charity. So not really selling them, that's for the charity to do. They'll be auctioning or raffling them. I told thme I'd donate two and two gift cards for $1000 of cingular service...should be enough to have an iphone for a year.
