I am.
I see many people are frustrated because of the delay of online shipping...

And I am planning to be at my small local Apple Store at 4pm.
Is anybody doing that too, not worrying it will sell out?

Me,

If I get one today then that would be awesome, but if I luck out, then I will just try some other day, no biggie.

No matter if I've arrived an hour early or six, I have never been to a launch of an Apple product and not walked out with a product that day, so I'm not worried.

I originally was going to.. That quickly changed.. Will be in line a lot earlier now..

I think 3:30pm is perfect. You beat people leaving a little early from work. That is my plan. It is either 3:30pm or like 7:30pm right before closing and hope for no line and some stock....

I'm planning on leaving work at 3:30, so by the time I get to the nearest Apple Store, it would be about 4:00 (it's about 10 minutes away, parking and walking into the mall).

I keep going back and forth between just sucking it up and going to the Apple Store, or stopping at the local Best Buy first (it's less than 5 minutes from work) to see if they have a big line or not. On one hand, I feel like it is closer and they could have enough in stock to be worth it, plus I have gift cards and Reward Zone bucks to use there (and earn as well). On the other hand, I feel like I could be wasting time stopping there.

I'm going at 2.. I hope that is good enough.. =/ I live an hour away and I want it to be worth it!

Im going around 515-530. The closet apple store in about a 10 minute walk from my office. At that point at least the line will be moving. If I get one today great if not Ill go tomorrow

I'll be there around 5:pM @ Best Buy. I already have one on order from Apple but would like to see if I can get my hands on one today. It's not a big deal if I can't get one today.

Based on reports of supplies at Best Buy and Apple (Target/Walmart may be a different story), if you go to the store today, I'm betting you will get an iPad. Maybe even tomorrow.

dont get off till 5pm, will swing by afterwards though. If the line isn't too bad I'll stick around.

I'm going to stop by Best Buy at about 5:15 since the closest Apple stores are both at least an hour away from me in either direction.

I'm still undecided if I want to upgrade. I will probably stop by a best buy tonight. If they have a 64gb black 3G and i like it I'll probably buy it and sell my original iPad.

If they are out and i want it I'll just wait. I'm not dealing with lines or going nuts to get one.

I have a meeting until 4, hopefully I can get out before. Apple store is a stone's throw away in the mall.

Hoping for the best.

I'm going later on after the hubub has died down. if they're out, oh well. I'll start calling around tomorrow.

i'm getting to Skokie, IL store at about 4:30. off work at 4 but bailing at 3:45. Figure since I'm buying the 64gb 3G I'll have no trouble getting one besides the wait.

I find this "calling around" thing hilarious. It's ironic that people carp about the price of Apple products and then engage in this kind of behavior. Guess what? Someone on Apple's dime has to answer hundreds if not thousands of calls at each location that go something like this:

"Hi! I was just checking to see if you have iPads in stock."

"No."

"Okay, thanks!"

That costs Apple money and they pass that cost on to you.

You've been "stuck without one" your entire life. What's another two weeks?

I had iPad 1, up till 2 days before the iPad 2 announcement. So its not just like I haven't had one. I do sales from my car, and use it as my GPS. Sure I can use my iPhone now, but kinda a PITA to use it as GPS & phone at the same time...

You can't be serious.
