It's an iPhone forum, inside of a Mac forum, what do you expect? There are other great forums on here that you can participate in if you do not like it here.

The whole reception issue should be migrated into one or two threads, it's taking over the forums.

I used to have that attitude, but now it's just getting ridiculous. MR used to be fun and it used to have threads about good things, or little problems. Now it's ALL people complaining and complaining about every. little. thing...

Fair enough. But consider that it's an iPhone forum here and that a new iPhone was just released. It happens once a year(ish) and no doubt during these times it's going to get a little over-saturated. It's not unique to this forum.

When the iPad was released - it was all a tizzy about that. Now it's relatively calm out there (and def. my comparison).

But every message board - technology based or otherwise is going to have a flood of threads when there's big news or a product release or something else directly affecting the users of that message board.

On a baseball message board - during the world series, you would experience the same thing.

On soccer message boards right now, I am sure it's nuts.

Time passes and the threads will quiet down.

In the meantime - creating a thread and poll like this isn't helping your cause because it's just "another" thread about the threads.

Im not sick of it, I like to hear what others have to say after they call apple.

Really, you like to hear all the made up stories about people calling Apple to be told that Apple will release an alleged update or give out free bumpers or give out $200 Apple store credit or tell us that Apple told them not to buy an iPhone ever again?

Yes, those threads (you can tell what they are just by their titles) are totally fun.

I don't mind people airing their justified issues here, but the stuff happening the last few days is annoying to no end. It's very obvious a lot of this is coming from Android fanboys. It's stupid and hurts the community.

We come here to talk about Apple products because we like Apple products or want to learn more about them, good or bad. Not to see people thrashing Apple for no good reason or spread false rumors that gets everyone up in a tizzy.

I don't really mind. People are upset and feel as though their particular issue is the most pressing at the moment. I've been there, I'd be making posts too.

Well the reason I mind is for a while it was 75% at least of hte posts. We get it! Why they couldn't just post in a thread already dedicated to the problem rather than starting new posts?

on top of that, even if the thread doesn't have anything to do with it, one of the more vocal complainers will try to turn the thread back into focussing on the antenna issue. Give it a rest! some of us don't have the problem or it doesn't affect us that badly and we'd like to read/talk about other stuff. We get it, it has an antenna issue! I'm sure the people reading this forum already know that!

Not to mention the exageration of it not being able to make a phone call (it can, even the ones that have the textbook case of the problem. But it is more inconvenient to use) or evne the, "What if your life depended on it?" Well gee, then I'd make sure that spot wasn't covered up and I'd make the call.... I think some people forget the phone can still make the call, it just makes them not hold it in the way they'd prefer to make it. Besides, by that arguement, maybe everyone should be demanding satellite phones. After all, there are plenty of places you won't get cell coverage (try getting a cellphone to work on Mt. Rainier for example). Or one could point out way back in the day (shoot, when I was a kid even), most to all people did not have cell phones. Some how they survived. Even survived being in spots where a cellphone would have been helpful.

We need to keep up the pressure on Apple. The more people complain, the more publicity it gets. The more publicity it gets, the more Apple need to do something about it.

I say complain complain complain. Phone your grandmother to complain. **** it.

So falsely inflate reports of problems? Yeah, that's a great idea.

A lot of good posts here. I am not trying to stir up the crap or be a troll it is intersting to see the difference of opinions about this from the forum members.
