iPhone 15 Pro Max Is anyone still seeing in store availability for 15 pro max on Apple's website?

Hey,

So after a lot of internal debate.. I decided to upgrade my iPhone 14 Pro Max to the 15 Pro Max. However, I didn’t pre-order and I am taking a gamble by trying to secure one via walk-in launch weekend.

I looked on the Apple site and check the status of the pro max and storage I wanted and it says shipping would be October 15-18 but for in store “availability for Sept 22”.

Just was wondering if this was confirmation that my local store has stock for walk ins or again just a general thing posted for in store pick ups.
 
For some reason all 15 series phones have gone to a generic “in store availability on 9/22” with no ability to choose a store before checkout as of this morning. No clue if I can get one in store September 22nd now! (For my two other upgrading family members who hadn’t ordered yet.)

What I would do is have your order ready on your phone, and as soon as 8am hits Friday morning try to make the purchase on the app, if lucky enough and there is stock then select store pick-up near you, rather then having to go and try to do a walk-in with no guarantee there will be stock available. This is the way. Check throughout the day and every date thereafter. Same day inventory pops up periodically.

Yea around this time before launch day, apple disables the in store pick up. But it is reenabled on Friday at 6 am or so.

Same! Same! I was also having the same internal debate. I'm always looking forward to the camera modifications, but the lighter titanium material won me over. Are you excited about any particular features? I'll be setting my early wakeup for Friday. Good luck!

I'll see if I can do an online early friday morning at apple website or app, but if not, i'll just try visit an apple store early later next week when they open. I just want to get iphone 15 pro max 256 gb. hoping to land either blue, titanium or black.

Wake up at like 6 in the morning and if you have a few Apple stores near you, you should have no problem ordering one for pickup launch day. Someone said 4am, you can do that but it's unnecessary. If you're willing to wake up that early, go ahead.

Mine is still showing prepping for shipping. Is Apple/FedEx staging them to be all set for delivery on Fri or something?

Glad I am not the only one lol. What won me over was the A17 chip ( for gaming) , 5X camera, and photo and video enhancements like recording directly to an external source. Good luck to you as well!!

The big thing with in store pickup is appointment availability time. During the initial preorder rush, I tried to select a window that had just been filled and my order got kicked back. Not choosing a window wasn't an option. Unfortunately even if there is availability, if you can't get an appointment for that day, the system might not let you preorder it for launch.
 
I preordered a 512gb promax in titanium from Verizon. They estimate Oct 6, although person in store said probably 10-12 days. I am in E Texas, so nearest apple store for me is probably Dallas, a bit over 100 miles, so will pass on that.
 
I didn't pre-order since I just decided to upgrade my iPhone 12PM to the 15PM. Phone working fine, but I the battery is deteriorating and decided to upgrade instead of changing the battery.

I been checking the Apple store to see if I can go on release day and pick up in person... but show no availability as of right now.

Quick question: has anyone pre-order online for in-store pick up, but wanted to change the payment and use the combination of trade-in, apple gift card and the remain balance on apple card? I think I can only either do credit card payment or payment plan.
