iPhone 15 Pro Max Is anyone still seeing in store availability for 15 pro max on Apple's website?

I couldn't preorder for in store pickup 48 hours ahead, but launch morning at 6am I was all set up, checked out, and ready to go. Picked up right at store opening.

I am one of the few that is looking to buy the regular 15 (not Pro). When I last checked yesterday, in my area almost all Apple stores were still showing available for in store pickup on Saturday the 23rd.

I did not place a pre-order yet, but was thinking of just walking in to one of them tomorrow (Friday) at some point mid-morning to see if they still have regular 15's in stock. Would that be crazy, or is there a good chance these won't be popular enough to be sold out a couple hours after they open that day?

I am sure regular will be there. However you might have to wait as most people will have an appointment being launch day.

Yeah, good point about the wait potentially being a pain.
I'll see what it looks like, since I'll be out and about anyway. I may check the iphone checker site mentioned in another post here just to see what availability looks like before I go to the store.
 
I just called "my store" - in quotations because you actually still just get a support person not at your store. She said that there should be stock at stores for walk-ins tomorrow. My closest Apple Store is in a mall that doesn't open until 10am, so I asked if she knew if they were allowing people to line up early. She didn't know, so I called my mall and they said that they'll unlock the closest door right around 8am for whoever is in line to go into apple. The security guy said its okay to be out there early, but I know from history (back in the day when you had to line up to get iPhones) that this mall will not let people camp out overnight... I think last time it was about 5am that they let us start being in line outside the door, so I may shoot for that tomorrow AM. I realize that maybe I could buy online that morning, but there are advantages to doing the Apple Upgrade program in store (like rolling the taxes into the payment; they'll do that in-store but not online... and while normally I just pay it all up front, I'd rather not do that this year)

I was bummed they aren't letting you book "shopping sessions" for the iPhone ahead of time like you can do any other day of the year. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday is all grayed out; can't book a shopping session for purchasing again until Monday. I'd have preferred to have just set an 8am appointment tomorrow.

Chances are that the 15 plus and 15 are not as popular as the pro's so i'm sure they'll still have plenty to go around.

This is where it pays to be an oddball who is interested in the regular one. lol

Was it similar with the 13 and 14 launches, where the regular ones were easily obtainable on launch day in the stores?
 
Just tried to place a pickup order in Australia. I’m able to do so, so the capability hasn’t gone away completely, but there are no same day appointments.

I suspect the same will happen in the us. Even if your store has some availability, the appointments are probably booked out for today. So the soonest pickup would be for tomorrow. Again IF it’s in stock.

Awesome, thanks for confirming. Experienced the same with 14 plus pickup in august - no same day online pickups even if it is not this time of the year.

If you're on the east coast, then try at 6am your time. You won't see a chance for inventory tonight. Slim chance when stores close, but it's always been 6am-ish for me on launch day to snag in-store pickup *if* there's inventory.

My question is should I add the trade-in option if I get lucky with a walk-in? Like in the App Store just select “ no trade in” and just bring my phone in when picking up

On the App Store app it says the following about trading in. You can trade online or on stores..

This thread is very helpful. I pre-ordered Titanium black last week, but now really want Titanium white. Will wake up at 6am to see if I can snag one

My order has been stuck at Oct 4-9 since last week while people with the same model and later ship dates got moved up to launch day. Hoping I can snag a Pro Max in store and cancel my order!
