I won't ask anyone to pitch in until the negotiations and information is final and proven. I wanted to see the popularity of this product because I wanted to get one myself, and personally I would hate paying the $500 price.

This product has a pretty high margin, and sites (like this UK site) are offering it for much lower.

Although I can't promise that I can get this deal yet, I believe that this set of speakers can be bought for much less than $500. I will keep you guys posted for more information in the future.

In the meantime, if there are people whom you think will definitely be interested in this product, please let them know of this thread.

Let's see, who wouldn't want to get a B&W Zeppelin Airplay speaker system, the same highly rated one that retailers are selling for $600 for 1/4 to 1/3 the price?

I have a feeling that the uk site that was given as an example of low pricing on it is also a scam. Click on the larger image and you get a browser window from tigerdirect.com, which for some reason does not sell the zeppelin.

If someone wants to work out a wholesale deal on these things, I own a company that could purchase and resell them, but I'm not going to F around with some bogus deal to acquire stolen or defective goods, or worse buy a hope and dream and get scammed, if that is what this.

Time to close this thread. The above referenced site is a lousy Scam site. Practically all the links on the site are bad. Move on before this gets worse.

Clever way to get his scam site link posted. Although everyone's radar should have been up with the original post. You don't get 60% discounts with a "bulk" order of 10 or 20. LMAO.

Guys this is a scam.

It retails for $600 and he can get it for $150. Why doesn't he just buy 20 of them and sell them on ebay to make a profit?

If its too good to be true then it probably is! Don't fall for it. Its not even realistic anymore. $600 vs $150 thats way too unrealistic

Thanks for the responses. Currently I'm working with a startup that manages group buys, and this price could indeed be possible with B/W, if enough people are interested. The more people, the better. More details will come.

I'm in. Keep me posted.

I'm a bit weary though. I'm not going to send money to anyone other then directly to B&W via their site.

Look at the contact details of the site the op linked to. Seems like a scam. I hope it isn't though.

If it isn't a scam, of course I'd pop at $150! I would love to see some proof but won't hold my breath though, you know, just in case.

Well you could but you'd have to go halves for use on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and alternate Sundays and then try to sublet the days you don't need.

I would prefer it if we could bring on a third party to go in on the original purchase with us. S/he could take primary responsibility for Tuesdays, Saturdays, and alternate Sundays. I don't want to have full liability for all of those days- I just want Thursdays.

Perhaps we should consider setting up a LLP or a C-Corp prior to the purchase?

Let me know.....

That is certainly an option. I have a mate who has expressed an interest for Tuesday afternoons between 3 and 4pm. I originally dismissed his enquiry but now it seems like this may be the only way to use up the spare capacity.
