I have a bunch of HDMI devices (about 4) and 2 outputs (a TV and a projector).

I bought a 4x2 HDMI Splitter which works perfectly, by being able to output my inputs to either output (to the TV or to the projector). Apple TV was in one of those inputs.

However, now that HomePod supports the ARC feature from Apple TV, with my current setup I can't wrap around my head to figure out how I can make any of those 3 other inputs to output their sounds onto HomePod in EITHER HDMI Splitter output (whether it's a TV or a projector).

Only the below method works, which isolates my Apple TV out of my HDMI Splitter. I do want Apple TV video to be able to output to either device (TV or projector) as well as being able to use HomePod output for other 3 devices:

Apple TV -> HDMI ARC Input to my 4K TV & 4K TV HDMI 2 Input -> my HDMI Splitter Output A

Thanks in advance.

I've got one which works absolutely fine as long as the sound input on the TV for the HDMI splitter is set to ARC.

I've got: Apple TV > HDMI Port 2 on my 4K TV which is the ARC port > HDMI Port 1 (Nintendo Switch) > HDMI Port 3 (HDMI Switch with Fire Stick, Wii U, 2 x Raspberry Pi, PS3).

All works fine, except the Raspberry Pi 4 I have which gives me static sounds on the HomePod's but it looks to be an Apple issue as others are having the same problem too which hopefully Apple will fix in an update.

Thanks for your reply. My concern was more with being able to use Apple TV on my other output too. Because if I have to stick Apple TV HDMI cable onto one of the outputs (which is a TV in my case), then I not only have to always turn on the TV to be able to hear sounds to HomePod, I will not be able to use Apple TV output onto my projector. Thus I was hoping for some sort of HDMI Splitter that also transfers ARC sounds to the Splitter that I have so it can trick Apple TV into thinking it's into the ARC port instead of my TV, so I can hear HomePod sounds in inputs from both projector and TV.
