I know that Apple says the screen will go dark under certain conditions, but I’m just curious if anyone out there has an AOD that stays on 24/7, or is everyone’s shutting off overnight (and in other situations)?

Thanks

Edit: Can anyone verify leaving their phone overnight and the screen staying on with no focus enabled?

Mines goes off eventually. No sleep focus setup. But when I wake up the screen is blank.

Try not using sleep focus, it takes a couple of hours to really shut down. See if when you wake up, it’s off.

This will help

Apple said the Always-On display goes dark when you don’t need it. To save battery life, the display is completely dark on these eight different occasions:

Your iPhone 14 Pro is face down;
Your iPhone is in your pocket;
Sleep Focus is on;
Low Power Mode is on;
Your iPhone is connected to CarPlay;
You’re using Continuity Camera;
You haven’t used your iPhone for a while;
Your iPhone detects that you moved away from it when you wear a paired Apple Watch.

Yes, so is anyone having this NOT happen overnight (as some are claiming)?

The other issue is whether the phone becomes responsive when picked up, and whether you have raise to wake on.

Thanks
