Ever since updating to the new iWorks that has “Share analytics data” on by default, I keep having to turn it back off every week or so. It seems that any iOS update, app update, phone restart, or swiping up any of the office apps results in Analytics being turned back on, by default.
At this point, it’s pointless to even try setting it off anymore as it’s going to be turned on anyway.
This setting shooting have been ”off” by default, otherwise it’s just a dummy.
Is Apple being scummy here, giving users an illusion of privacy while designing a built in scheme to bypass user’s expressed desire to not be spied upon?
So much for their privacy-oriented marketing.
