Apple laptops and desktops are way overpriced.
A couple of posts back someone compared an Asus G73 with a Macbook Pro, the G73 clearly wins. Then an Apple fanboy had some "good" arguments about design, materials and simplicity.
Well, first of all, most people don't actually care about how their laptop looks.
Second, the G73 is made out of aluminium(Its a HIGH END laptop, you can't put an i7 in a plastic laptop).
Last but not least: The G73 is a gaming laptop for people who want more than Battlefield 2 and Need for Speed: Carbon(the only reasonable games for Apple computers), and know how to work with Windows 7.
I guess you will all tell me you can put Windows on an Apple computer, but then you'll have an oversized netbook(specs of the Macbook are extremely bad). Same for all other Mac's.
Mac's are PC's for well payed people who want the most simple OS to do their everyday jobs IMO. A lot of mac users probably don't even know that the hardware of Mac's is slower and more expensive compared to other systems. Great marketing Apple.
Nice job of trolling...lol
You're either a kid, a gamer, or both. Most people buy computers to do work, not just play games. I have a console for that, and I have a life. More importantly, most people buy the latest/greatest, or build their own PC's because they "think" they need this high powered system, with high-end graphics cards, and Quad Core chips to do email, Facebook, Twitter, and organize music/photos.
Truth be told, most Mac systems will out last Windows PC's/Laptops 2 fold. They're also worth more than a Windows PC/Laptop after a few years. You can easily sell a 3 -5 year MB/MBP/iMac for decent money, and pay the difference for a new one. With a Windows PC/Laptop, it's pretty much junk after 2 - 3 years. Also, the stability of a Mac vs. a PC is much better for the majority of folks. I've known a number of Mac users who are still using their initial install of OS X [including updates/upgrades], and have never had to "re-install" their OS due to registry issues, slowdowns, malware, etc. Yet most, if not all Windows folks have had to reinstall Windows, etc. a number of times because of the afore mentioned issues...
To the point of a simple OS; yes OS X is very simple to use. It's also designed to perform very complex computing if needed. With it's UNIX base, it's very robust. I love the idea that I don't need to Defrag a drive, or worry about Viruses, etc. Yet I can support the 30 Plus Windows Servers, Cisco networking gear, and VoIP system I support with ease. All of the tools I need to do this are built in, or I can use the number of UNIX built tools available to me. I like that MS has the market share for Windows. That way all the crap that is made is designed to run on Windows, and not OS X, such as Viruses, Malware, and the like.
In the end, buy what you want, and what you need.
