I have an iMac G5 17inch iSight, 1.8 ghz and 2 gigs ram, one day I shut it down and it just won't turn back on, I take it into Apple and they tell me it's the power suppy unit, then they don't call me for a week so I call them and they say it wasn't that and then they tried the DC powerboard and it wasn't that and now they are saying it's my logic board which is going to be 800 to repair. A, are they playing me, B, is it worth it, and C if not what shuold i look at for web design work such as illustrator and photoshop, indesign etc. thanks

well thanks for the input, is it normal for the logicboard to just fail like that, i only had it for about two years, what could have been the reason it failed?

I know of hundreds of iMac logic boards that have failed within 2 years.

Makes you wonder about all that heat in such a small enclosure.
