Is Apple software raid bootable?

I'd like to experiment with 2 OWC SSDs in a raid 0 setup in my G5 powermac.
I would need this to be bootable, can someone confirm that this should work?

Software raid0 works. My quad powermac uses wto 64gb in raid0 as boot all other data on an esata external.
