Is Apple wireless keyboard bluetooth 4.0 ?

Apple don't seem to list the bluetooth version on their website. I want to sit on the sofa and operate the mac from 11-12feet which is fine for bluetooth 4.0 but I think 2.0 may struggle.

It is not as it was designed for use with Macs that are not 4.0 compatible. However, I have no problems using the keyboards and trackpads from the couch to systems connected to TVs, around 15-18 feet away.
