Silly me forgot about a $200 paypal giftcard and I purchased a new MBP w/ Applecare on 2/26. Since I did it through the online store at time of laptop purchase, AC was applied automatically to my laptop's serial # w/o any additional paperwork or box to open.

I'd like to return AC and purchase it on ebay w/ my gift card.

Is it possible to return? Any penalties?

Thanks!

I'd call them up and tell them what happened, I'm sure they'll be understanding of your mixup.

The real answer: Why would you post this question rather than call Apple?

The answer you are looking for: Since the Macbook Pro comes with 90 days of free phone support and a one year product warranty, I am almost positive that you can return Applecare within this timeframe at no penalty.

Still, just call Apple and ask them.
