So back to the topic. DVD is not only 0.4MP@25Hz, it's also encoded with a 709 (8-bit) color pallet. So you lose a lot of reds and greens, your MacBook display is capable of showing. It's a pale, grainy, flickery picture. Just like DVDs used to be. And all the time you can hear the spinning disc. By the way, Game of Thrones on DVD is a 38 discs box set for the low price of 99,99€ on Amazon.
