Is AppleTV's ethernet/wi-fi bidirectional?

As in, could I get a wi-fi signal from the router into the AppleTV, and pass it on to another device connected through ethernet?

Or the reverse?

Don't need to buy an expensive Airport, if ur willing to get under the hood, cheaper Access Points will work just fine.
