Long story short - I was jailbroken but Intelliscreen has been a colossal disappointment on iOS6. I restored my phone via iTunes and set up as new phone. When I downloaded Accuweather all of my locations I previously set up were still there. I also downloaded Tunein and my favorite radio stations were still there.

Once restored and set up as new phone I was expecting not to have any sort of application data carry over. This makes me think that somehow this info is tied to my Apple ID. I know it's a stretch but I'm trying to figure out how else this information could still be there.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Unless you did a restore to backup, none of this info should have come back - unless the app requires you to sign back in.

Set up the phone as new - Erased All Content and Settings from the Reset menu on the iPhone and plugged in the iPhone and restored to original settings.

I don't have sign in information for either app yet every time I download the app the information is there again.

Very strange.

Maybe it's tied to your cydia account?

Cydia should have nothing to do with stock 3rd party apps in the App Store, right?!

Plus I'm not jailbroken anymore.

Update:

I downloaded Accuweather for my iPad and added a few locations on my iPhone.

Checked my iPad later in the day and what do you know... all of those locations were beamed to my iPad as well. So it does appear that there is some sort of cloud syncing going on with that application in particular. Mind you, I do NOT have a login for that app.

Tried doing the same thing with Tunein with no success...

Creepy

Did/do you set up your iCloud account after restoring the phone? There's a Documents & Data option for iCloud accounts on the device (which you can turn on or off) which allows apps to store documents and data in iCloud.

I did however i guess I assumed that if an app was using this service it would be listed under the Docs and Data tab under:

iCloud > Storage And Backup > Manage Storage > Documents and Data

I don't either app listed there.

Not quite sure if the apps, or all the apps, actually end up being listed there--my setting is on for Documents and Data, but I don't have anything listed there at all, yet I know various data from different apps is in fact being stored there somewhere in the cloud, so to say.

Good info - that must be what is going on. After jailbreaking I want the cleanest possible install when going back to stock. Seeing that information made me wonder if some data was being left behind.

Thanks again.
