Is Beamer only for ATV or for other AirPlay devices too?

I use the Bose SoundTouch Airplay system. Would I be able to send mov audio out from my Mac to the Bose speakers via Beamer? Or is Beamer only for the ATV?

EDIT: Damn. Found the answer. I thought I'd be able to send mkv audio to Bose Airplay speaker but no luck. Only ATV.

Any other suggestions?

You can use pretty much any media player for that purpose (VLC, MXPlayer etc.) together with AirPlay from system setting (or the status bar).
