Hello,

I'm trying to launch other radio stations on new Apple Music App (i.e. Hip-Hop) but the app is saying "Unable to Start Station".

Are the other stations not live yet?

I'm having the same issue, but I have friends who say it's working. I haven't signed up for the free trial, I wonder if that's the issue?

I've been getting the above error since updating to iOS 8.4 when trying to tune to any preset radio - other than Beats 1.

It's usually accompanied by; "There was a problem starting the station. Try again later."
As per the terms, you don't need to subscribed to listen to the Apple Music Radio.. right?

Unless - they are live in the US and not yet in the UK?

Anyone had a similar error, know the cause or know of a workaround?

I don;t have a solution but yes, exactly same problems here. Would like to get this fixed too.

I've encountered the above error a few times too.

I'd put it down to the fact there are a lot of people over the World downloading iOS 8.4 and trying to access the service.

Radio stations, apart of Beats1, are only for subscription. Only in USA you can listen for free with limited skip. In other countries no radio at all.

Hello all,

Wondered what the deal is with Apple radio? So for no fee we can listen to radio stations? Is it right that so far all that's available is beats 1 and bbc worldwide? (UK)

Will more radio stations jump onboard? Will we get stations like we do on other digital radio applications?

Got it.

Confirmed by Apple rep too.
Thanks.

TuneIn is not licensed with major labels, i.e. it's currently a pirate service (or one that's a least offering servcies that go beyond its statutory licenses, if they haven't been revoked already). Explains a lot...
Pretty pants if I'm honest... Given that tune in allows stations on its free service!

Why when I listen to radio stations is there an ad every 3 songs?? I have signed up to the 3 month free trial so assumed it was ad free radio like on spotify!

Maybe during the free trial it's the only way to pay for the streaming? No clue really...

Anyone having the same issue as me? I've tried on both Windows & Mac, and iTunes 'attempts' to load something and the stops. If I double click it then sits of "Contacting Store".

Got it.

Thanks.
I think there is a difference between Apple Music radio stations and iTunes Radio stations. As far as I know, iTunes Radio is still free with ads and ad free if you have iTunes Match.

It's just that ios8.4 music app has put iTunes Radio in the back and it's not easy to use anymore

I'm sure that's only in the USA and Australia which are the two countries where iTunes Radio was available.

In the UK, we never got iTunes Radio, so I'm still getting used to these new terms lol

Ok. I just checked. In the U.S., Apple music radio is available for free with limited skips.
