Is bootneuter the best or only unlock for a jailbroken 2g 3.1.2 ?

Now that I have jailbroken my old 2G running 3.1.2 with pwnage tool 3.1.4, is Bootneuter the best way to unlock it?
Will Ultrasn0w unlock it , or just the 3G , 3GS ?

Its not the best way, I think its the only way.
Ultrasnow or yellowsnow is only for 3G and 3GS models.

Not the best way. If have a Mac, or can get ahold of one for a bit, then you can use PwnageTool. It is pretty simple to use. http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=4255
