is the 6+ any improved on latest 10.2.1 or 10.3 beta? most of these responses are reflecting on when it was on an older iOS.

OP can't afford an iPhone 7.

In what ways do you think the iPhone 7 is so much better than the iPhone 6s?

I can't speak for that forum member, but I do believe the iPhone 7 has a lot of smaller incremental upgrades that really do separate it from the 6s. I think the word "Better" is subjective and everybody will vary on what their definition of what that is. I own the 7+/6S Plus for comparison.

The strongest features with iPhone 7 Plus are the stereo speakers, dual camera, A10X processor (Which is significantly faster over my 6S Plus), additional two hours of battery life with the deleted 3.5 mm Jack, added water resistance for those accidental incidents. The Haptic home button is a nice feature, but it doesn't make it better over the 6S plus, not everybody likes that specific function.

These are my thoughts what makes it better, but everybody will differ. I don't think the iPhone 7 is vastly superior, but it is significant in the right areas. My favorite feature is the stereo speakers by far.

I upgraded everyone in my family to the iPhone 7, none of them seem to be able to tell the difference except for the home button and lack of headphone jack, which they thought were negatives.

dual camera
That's only on the Plus model though, right?

Is that true of the iPhone 7, too?

I think that is a really important feature. Lots of people have accidentally spilled beverages on their phones. And even keeping your phone in the bathroom when you shower is a problem if a phone is not water resistant.

I don't listen to content on my phone without headphones on enough to appreciate that but if you do, I am sure it is a nice improvement.

1.) Correct. The dual camera is available on the Plus model, which Is why I stated that for comparison between both the 6s Plus and 7 Plus. Your family members may not notice the differences, but in fairness, those are fairly distinct differences. The speed over the iPhone 6s a significant, especially with multitasking and less refreshes.

2.) With the deleted 3.5 MM jack, both iPhones have an additional two hours accordingly. It's also listed on Apple's website directly stating this. Also, you mentioned that the deleted 3.5 mm Jack was a negative according to your family, which they are entitled to their opinion on that, but then you would be lacking the additional two hours of battery life provided. Everybody will differ on that specific feature and their appreciations for wired capabilities.

3.) I use The dual speakers for phone calls quite bit and the clarity is drastically better over the 6S. You don't necessarily have to use headphones to appreciate the capabilities of the dual speakers, but it is an option that you have.

4.) Keep in mind, if you keep your iPhone in the bathroom when you shower, steam can still be a major enemy against the iPhone, which can penetrate past seals and so forth.

No. It's very slow. I wanted to use mine for 3 years and wait for the iPhone 8/X/Anniversary Edition to come out, but it was so slow and frustrating that I upgraded to the 7.

It seems like you've made up your mind, but if you need convincing any further...

In short, no. I'd only consider one now if it was temporary for half a year to tide you over until the 7s/"8", but if you're planning on keeping it for a couple of years, definitely go for a 6s Plus. The 6 Plus isn't a terrible phone but seems underpowered for what it is designed to do. I used a friend's 7 Plus the other day and was just astounded that when I pressed the home button to go back to the first home page, the animation actually worked. When I do it on my 6 Plus, it waits half a second then just jumps.

It's not awful and I'm still happily using one, but it seems to have slowed down far quicker than any previous device I've owned. I don't think the regular 6 suffers as badly, they share the same GPU but the Plus has to do the odd 'render @3x then downscale to 1080p' puzzle on the fly, and you can tell. 1GB RAM is probably not really enough either, if I pause Spotify then in about one minute it's been purged and I have to restart the app. Don't bother thinking about trying to keep more than one or two Safari tabs in memory either.

I'll hold out for whatever Autumn brings, but I'll almost certainly be replacing this this year.

I ended up getting a 6s Plus $449 brand new from boost and paying $30 to have it IMEI unlocked. Not a bad deal for a brand new device with warranty opposed to playing hit and miss on Swappa.

Good choice. The 6s Plus is still a great iPhone and will be for quite some time.

I don't think it can ever be used on Sprint though because it will never pass the FED.

I have never had a bad transaction on swappa and I buy and sell there alot. I only buy from sellers with established feedback except for one time and that worked out fine too. I googled the new seller once I purchased and they were legit also I got a very, very good price because the seller was new to swappa and wanted to establish good feedback.

I wasn't going to put it on Sprint but thanks. Swappa is great although once I sold a iPhone 5 and the buyer claimed the battery was no good and he wanted his money back, which was a total lie but in the end he didn't pursue it. Also on Swappa you really never know what shape the battery is in and how many charging cycles it's been through. Anyway I'm really happy I got a brand new one with a warranty at a more then fair price.

Good choice. The 6s+ was a substantial upgrade over the 6+ in terms of processing speed, GPU and RAM and should last you much longer than a 6+ would and the more durable aluminum is a plus too. Definitely worth spending a little extra on.

I would wait for the iPhone 7 S model. The S model some times can fixes issue you had with the iPhone 7 models had
