Like I really need to explain to you or care if you love the response or not:rolleyes:
You have any idea how many buggy and non working cydia packages I purchased only for them not to work right, cause issues with my phone or put it in a restore loop or not be compatible with what I have installed? Then I had to chase the dev for help and get ignored and money down the drain. There's tons of devs putting out junk out there for sale, stuff not tested properly, or dont work with some firmware versions or plainly dont do what they are supposed to example "yourtube 2", this package in question and many others. Then instead of fixing issues with their older package they put out more junk up for sale in order to get more money from people that pay first without having a clue if they're throwing their money away.
So you do what you want and buy them and hope for the best.
I'll do it my way wether you or anyone agree's with it or not.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Thank you! I have paid for many apps/tweaks that didn't work right or had issues. A dollar here..a dollar there...it all adds up.

Then your new to jailbreaking. This is very common for people to "pirate" apps to try them out and see if they work on their phone (either from Cydia or the app store). Just beause something in the app store says its gonna do X, Y, Z doesn't mean it will so most people want to test it instead of tossing money down the drain.

Welcome to Jailbreaking. hope you can learn a thing or two

lol, Actually i've been a software developer for android and helped dev for the samsung captivate's mtd cyanogenmod rom....but i've personally jailbroken close to 100 iphones going back to iphone 2.x software. So yeah, I know what i'm talking about. You, however, don't appear to.

You obviously never bought any package on Cydia if you claim that they all worked perfect and without issues then.
But since you jailbroken just 100 iphones then you dont know that much. I JB over 500.

Oh yes jailbreaking is so hard . If your trying to claim you jailbreak over 100 phones and can't agree that alot of tweaks on cydia don't work perfectly then you def haven't jailbroken 100 phones lol. Sorry most people don't want to waste money on an app that has a chance of not working and basically use a trial to see if it works then buy it. I got biteSMS and OMG since they know their app doesn't suck they offer a trial ... So you don't have to steal it to try because they are confident and what do ya kno... Most people buy biteSMS. Same with lockinfo, mywi, etc. Etc.

So mr.supposive king jailbreaker and "dev" --- LOLOLOL. welcome to jailbreaking :)

I have to admit, I'm starting to think that some devs don't offer a trial period because they know their app is a POS on a significant number of devices, so people won't buy it after trying it out. Those that have the guts to offer a trial period inevitably get my money over those who don't. They're nearly always better written apps to begin with, and they're typically better supported.

Makes me wonder if we'd see better quailty apps and tweaks if Cydia mandated a trial period requirement for all paid apps? (yeah, I know, never going to happen)

And Lord knows, I'd like back the money stolen from me by certain devs who won't support their broken code!

I'm looking right at Springtomize and that devs associated acts.

I love this response.... "I would have paid for it if it worked". No you wouldn't have. In face, i've never heard of anybody in real life actually doing this.

As for call bar, I found it to be too small and sometimes wouldnt even notice i'm being called....needs to be more prominent.

Never heard of anybody doing this?? Really? I do this with every cydia (paid) package I download if there isn't a trial. Then if it works I buy, if it don't then I delete.

Yay!!

Thanks to one of the people who mentioned something about ToneFx..I got it working..all you have to do is delete ToneFx and it works absolutely perfect. It's a bit saddening because ToneFx is a Massive Tweak !! I hope they sort the compatibilty issues out but for now I think I cancope with out it and CallBar is just sickkk..also I got it from I hacks repo!

What's interesting is that callbar actually seems to work fine with tonefxs 1.0 lite but not with the newer version. That's actually fine with me since there's really nothing that I need in the newer version of tonefxs anyway.

I do agree with what others have said about callbar being a bit small. It would be nice if they would add some customization options so we can make the dropdown a big bigger if we want to. I know that not everyone is going to want it bigger but it would be nice to have the option to at least try it out.

Anyone getting the no sim alert? My phone has never had a problem with the sim but right after installing callbar my sim is not recognized. Even after uninstalling it and rebooting it's still not recognizing my sim. Anyone know of a fix short of going to Apple?

ETA: Ok now my sim is recognized again but basically I paid $4 to turn my iPhone 4 into an iPod Touch.

Guys, this is an app from @Limneos - did you really think it wouldn't be flawed as his other RAD-projects?

I would hope not. I would expect better but he did say he will be fixing it soon in an update so i am honestly not too worried.

I'm liking the sensible replies in this thread. I've bought certain Cydia apps I won't mention that stop/don't work and are never updated. It's a real lottery with devs - some are lovely, some treat you like an idiot (why should I have to fix your stupid app? That's what I paid you for!) and some just don't bother replying. Ever.

They're only a couple of quid a go, but that adds up. Also - whether people want to believe it or not - a lot of people do try the crack first, then buy. It's not so black and white.

BUUUUUT, on-topic. I'm cautious about CallBar. It sounds like a brilliant tweak, but I've heard it crashes a lot of lots of reasons. I'm on 4.3.3.

That's funny, because I thought the same thing. But apparently that doesn't hold true. Tonefxs offers a trial and I did end up buying it. But, the app is a pos and the dev never responded to 4 emails I sent about a bug in the app.

So, just because a trial period is offered, that don't mean jack.

BTW, Tonefxs is flawed, the dev will not respond. Don't waste your money. I was this far from using the cracked version. But I don't believe in that stuff and this is what sometimes happens, regardless if a trial is offered.

Forget how I got it to work, but I did. And it works great. 4.3.3

It sounded cooler than it turned out to be. I never was all that upset about getting a phone call in the middle of something because most times I want to answer the call.

But it did work flawless after the couple of bumps at the beginning.

This is spot on.
It's sad only the great apps like lockinfo and bitesms have trials!

Look at Yourtube for example, its a load of crap.

Anyone got any updates on the 4.1 fix or is this hopeless?

The developer says on twitter that he is working on it now and was out of programming for a month due to RL issues. The next update is suppose to fix the tweak and add more ringtones per contact support. He says about 4-5 days. I'm watching and will post when he updates.

Thank you. I would pay attention to twitter but since no one really talks to me on it I slowly forgot I had one.
