I use the iPad for reading books and manga and viewing YouTube.
Is the iPad Air 4 better than the 7? Yes. Is there a notable performance difference in the above tasks? No, not really.

Maybe if you're doing a full text search on a really large book. My Air 3 with A12 does return search results faster than iPad 7 A10 or even Pro 10.5 A10X on a 1.8 million word omnibus.

Might appreciate the features, though:
Watching YouTube in landscape, you get stereo sound instead of it just coming from one side.
Laminated display is nice.

Do you already have the iPad 7? I ask because the more relevant comparison in 2020 for those who don't have an iPad already would usually be the iPad Air 4 vs. the iPad 8.

For your purposes the iPad 8 is more than sufficient, but the iPad Air 4 is definitely a nicer machine.

The buck is dah iPad 8?

Is this an Americanism? (I don't live in the US.)
We aren't that dumb. ?
It's not. It's just gibberish.
I think it is slang for "the" or whatever young kids say these days.
I'd try to answer this but I don't speak stupidese.
Again, I think it is slang for "the" or whatever young kids say these days.
What’s with the duh?! Don’t get the context. We use the word duh in the UK as a slang term for stupid. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Again x2, I think it is slang for "the" or whatever young kids say these days.
That is an oldie! :p
I honestly think we've just fallen for a troll…
Probably not a troll. More likely to be a young child than anything else.

Very interesting you got a point there.

I mean duh and the, both are 3 characters long words, so not really gaining anything in terms of practical usage.

LOL an entire thread of speculation simply because OP was in a silly mood. Based upon their previous post history they clearly can communicate in plain english . . but whatever . .
