Is Data Plan Required?

I am one of the few who will not use the data plan much, or at all since I am almost always near a WiFi connection. I was wondering do you have the option to only have a voice plan and no data. I don't want to pay $30 extra a month when its unnecessary.

at&t? Yes.

Rogers? No.

But they won't completely disable Data on their end so if you accidentally use data you're going to get charged ridiculous amounts.
