Hi all,

I was wondering if people are getting their systems in the time window specified when they ordered. Mine had an express delivery date of 12/4-12/11. But as of 12/7 has not shipped and is listed as "Processing". I am in the Silicon Valley area.

The system is a base M1 Air in gold.

ordered on 1.12.20 mbp 512/16gb delivery window 16.12-23.12.
apple says 23.12., ups to Germany says 11.12. (shipped today) - maybe/hopefully even faster in best case ;)

My M1 MacMini 16GB/512GB arrives today! My desk has been set up for weeks :apple:

Apple’s original estimate was sometime this week when I ordered it on November 11. But from the order date until today there have been changes and drop-outs of the delivery date. In other words multiple delivery dates changes occurred. This included some notices that just indicated the dates were changing and to standby for new dates (for several days). Apple and the shipper could never agree on the information.

In the end Apple anticipated/guessed the delivery window correctly. I don’t know if it was luck or actual knowledge of the supply chain and the international shipping process.

I hope everyone gets their computers by the holidays and/or sooner so they can set-up their new systems.

Ordered 8/256 mini on Nov 27 which wasn't projected to be in stock until Dec 7th, it arrived Dec 2nd though.

Ordered another one yesterday, it's projected to arrive on Friday.

Going to pull the trigger today on a M1 Mac Mini w/ 16GB & 2TB but it's showing January 28th, which is brutal. Hopefully they can beat that date by a lot!

I ordered a Mac Mini 16GB RAM back on 15 november, from Spain. It was originally scheduled for 22 december. Finally arrived yesterday 7 december. It came with macOS 11.0.1 installed.

As a fun fact, the Mini arrived at my home just when i opened the door to go at work. One minute later, and i had to wait two days (today is festive on Spain).

The shipment was only 4 days (UPS standard, kudos for them), from Shenzen (China) to Spain. Before that, the status order didn't have any movement, always "preparing".

Looks like all the items with 256gb or 512gb are not be delayed as much as the 1T/2T.

I am in Southern California - I would not worry, the Apple estimate has been very accurate for the M1 release.

Ordered on pre-order day and had Processing and "ready to ship" status for a week.
Then on the promised day, I received the M1 Mini on time - at the original estimated delivery.

But the origin was unusual - while everyone on the forum was tracking packages from China, mine originated from Rialto, CA and tracking showed the night before delivery.

I ordered my m1 mbp 16gb about an hour and a half after the event. It originally said it would arrive between Nov 24-27. However, I got it shipped November 16 I believe and it arrived the 20. Been using it the last couple of weeks and I love it. Don't worry, it will be well worth the wait (even if it's hard to wait).

I ordered my M1 base model MBA on Apple's website about a week and a half ago. Delivery date was set for Dec. 8th through Dec. 15th. Out of curiosity, I looked on Best Buy's website, and they didn't have any available for same day pickup, but they had them available for next day delivery to the house.

So I cancelled my order with Apple--they hadn't even charged my card yet and I didn't see anything budging--I put in an order with Best Buy instead. The next morning I woke up to an email saying my shipment was delayed. I never actually got next day delivery and they never gave me a new delivery estimate.

The computer FINALLY showed up yesterday afternoon. I love it--it's everything I imagined it would be. But it seems to me that UPS, FedEx, and USPS are all running at full capacity right now due to COVID, and they just can't move any faster. Unfortunate, but not much you can really do about it.

Ordered a Mac Mini with 16 GB of RAM as a Christmas gift. It’s showing a delivery date of 12/30, but hoping that I will be surprised with an early, pre-Christmas delivery.

Mine silver base air was ordered on Nov 24th. Express delivery estimate was Dec 3-10. It never moved past processing. I checked again on Dec 3rd and no movement so I chatted with Apple. They said everything looked good.
Just for fun I checked my local apple store and they had a silver one in stock. So I ordered that one for pickup same day. Then chatted with Apple to cancel my original order. So if you want a base model, check your local store inventory daily to see if it changes. I checked again today and they have Space grey available for pickup on the air and the pro base models.

BTW, so far I love this machine. Its fast and instant on like an iPad. For the price you can't go wrong, especially with an education discount.

Rialto is where FEDEX, UPS and others have their ground and air freight logistic centers and warehouses. It is possible Apple pre-positioned some units there so they could stick them right on shipper's aircraft or ground vehicles. There are a ton of warehouses out there for Target, Amazon, Staples, etc.

I did not order until Thanksgiving so any early pre-positioned units were long since shipped.

Gave up on my order and went into the Apple store that had one in stock. Walked up gave my name and ID. Walked out with my MBP. Did notice that right after I placed my order the stock was depleted.

No Apple store in Silicon Valley or nearby has stock on the base Air. Since this is a hold-over system until the 14" with mxx/2 SOC ships next year I don't want to spend too much.

I placed an order for MBA 16/256 on Black Friday - the original date was Dec 28th, but it's been shipped today and is to arrive this Thursday ;) So I guess you never know with Apple ;)

That was quick. Went from preparing to shipped in under 1 hour. Should arrive tomorrow. Must be coming from somewhere close.

I’m fortunate enough to live nearby Apple headquarters in Silicon Valley so I went to pick mine up in person when released, but I’ve also ordered online before. It told me it would show up one date and arrived almost a week before that date. It was literally overnighted from Shanghai somehow and at my doorstep the next morning. No idea how but that’s the tracking info. I’d imagine yours would show up before the date they gave you

Let us know if your M1 shipped from within California ??

Mine was shipped from Rialto to Bloomington where FED-EX Ground picked up and delivered the next day.

Apple's expected delivery: Nov 19 was 100% correct.
