Wish I had known about this Swappa site before. I just got someone interested in selling my Sprint 32gb 5s for 260gb on Craigslist to. Is that a decent offer for that?

Yep. I've sold four phones on there this year. Happy to be rid of the ridiculous eBay fees.
I would like to go down this route to sell my 6 Plus. Unfortunately it says on the swappa site that any cracks on the glass mean it isn't eligible for sale.
Unfortunately my 6 Plus has minor crack right in the corners, I'm assuming I won't be able to list this on Swappa even though the damage is very minor so I think eBay is my only option.
I've sold iPhones on eBay twice before and never had a problem but reading all these stories of scams has made me a bit scared of it now!

There is a "boneyard" section of Swappa. You can sell it there.

My phone is headed to swappa as soon as my new 6s gets here. I don't like how ebay double dips on the fees. Paypal and eBay fees for 1 transaction. I always tend to sell elsewhere.

You could try listing it on gumtree. I've sold electronics on the ion the past without any problems.
I've sold lower value items such as coffee machines and blenders on there before. I don't like the idea of meeting someone in person to sell a high value item like an iPhone. But I suppose if I arrange to meet in a public place it should be pretty safe.

Two ?s

So I bought my phone with a Verizon contract so even though the contract is up, it still has to be sold as a Verizon phone, correct?

How does Swappa make money if there are no fees?

If your phone is any of the recent generation Verizon iPhones, it is already unlocked.

The buyer pays $10. All phone prices include the $10 fee.

So if you list your phone for $300, it will display as $310. The first $10 goes to Swappa.

15 percent is too much for me to give ebay. Plus I had a customer return a phone after two weeks. Since then I was done with ebay. Sell all my phones in a carrier store. No issues.

Yeah that's the part I hate about selling high priced items on eBay. The buyer could have buyers remorse or break the item within a few weeks or even months, they could simply say that the phone does not work and you have to take it back.

Just sold my 64GB Space Grey iPhone 6 on Swappa. Backing up and wiping it right now, plan to drop it in the mail this afternoon. Made $475. Not bad!
