since I updated its weird, the app opens but is invisible. the only thing I can see are the red orange and green buttons in the top left. deleted, deleted application support, still does it.

having the most surreal circular conversation with epic support.

first person, can you upload the following files... done
second person delete the app and support files
third person read these pc only help docs
fourth person delete the app and support files
fith person can you upload the following files

apart from anything, they are claiming some of their support staff are called Lima Bravo, and Tango Fox. ive just asked the last one if he is real. he says he is, but then a robot would say that too...

Are you still having the issue with the launcher not working on the latest beta? It worked after updating macOS for me. - Their support team is likely not trained for beta macOS; And they shouldn't have to be. it's not an officially supported platform. It's in beta.

the latest beta is downloading slowly again after a few failed attempts, hopefully ill find out later today.

I get what you are saying about it being a beta, but that wasnt my issue with the support team. if one of them had read my email and answered it with 'sorry we wont deal with queries regarding a beta os' or 'sorry the problem is at apple's end wait for them to update' that would have been fine. it was the way that every email from them was apparently from a different person, had names that were clearly not real, never referenced anything from the original complaint, was just a cut and paste and started to repeat itself, that made me think whether its human beings at all and not just a ***** algorithm firing out answers. the last guy telling me he was real was the first comment that seemed tailored to my emails.

Umm, Epic is still very much an American company, and they’re still based in Cary, NC. My brother-in-law works there.

Hmmm, just started having 'Epic Games Launcher' failures starting today. Have Big Sur, and downloaded the latest Epic Games Launcher, followed all their instructions but no joy. Get a separate window, blank with a simple blue border, and Mac OS seems to start having issues (Finder does not respond, for example) until I 'quit' the Games Launcher or it finally fails and gives the crash report.

Have emailed Epic support, but was wondering if anyone had seen this and if so were able to find a workaround/fix.

Thanks in advance.

I honestly cant tell what causes it, as you see from the OP I had that problem, then once big sur was out of beta it went away. the other day it came back and today its fixed again.

Sigh, still having issues. Deleted the launcher, did a complete reinstall of it, and things worked for a day. Seems Borderlands 3 runs OK on my 16 inch MBP if you adjust the resolution down and some of the other settings. Anyway, today back to weirdness. When I start the launcher, it seems to hang, and finder stops responding. Have Parallels, so may try running it there, but will have to add storage to the VM as BL3 is 180 gigabytes! May mess with Epic Launcher again, first.

Solution for me was to delete the folder

˜Library/Application\ Support/Epic

then start Epic Games Launcher
