Is FCP7 compatible with Sierra

A couple of weeks ago I installed a Sapphire RX 580 Pulse into a 2010 cMP. This replaced the dead 5770. Had to upgrade to Sierra to get this hardware setup to work. But FCP7 works fine - otherwise I would have heard about it! No word on whether it works "better" with this beefier card.
