The entire family and I all have iphones. I got the 3g on release day and my parents and brothers got theirs about a month after. My nephew play a lot with my moms 3g since he is 3 and she gets him games so if they're in the car he has something fun to enjoy. Within the last two days her home button has completely stopped working but we're on vacation so i'm not near our usual apple store to go have it checked out. But my question is; does the standard warranty cover the iphones home button? she got it roughly a year ago but then had to trade hers in for a refurbed one at the apple store due to the vibration unit going nuts. Any help would be fabulous so please and thank you in advance and i'm going to go back to enjoying the beach.

I thought about clicking back and not responding since you're at a beach and I'm stuck at work, but then decided maybe I'll be nice and just respond. Of course the home button is covered under warranty. As long as there's not a lot of damage to the phone that shows that it may have happend from a drop or something, they will replace it for you. Minor scratches/scrapes are fine.

Well, the home button is, but the Vol Down and lock button aren't. Be careful which one you break.

You'll be happy to know that it does!

My home button was not responsive, and took 2-4 clicks at times to even register a single click. No questions asked. Straight new set out of the box - and it wasn't a refurb.
