So when iCloud Music Library launched, I fell victim and clicked that I wanted to use it and then of course it completely messed up my library like many many many (all?) other users (wrong album art all over the place, songs thrown into incorrect albums by different artists, etc). Luckily I had a backup of my library and I restored it and did NOT use iCloud music library this time. I would really, REALLY love to use the service. Is it still broke as hell?

Still broke, AFAIK.

With big Apple bloggers like Marco Arment and Jim Dalrymple lambasting Apple over this, if/when it's fixed, it'll be hard to miss (IMO).

Ugh. So frustrating. Makes the entire service useless. I'm not gonna have a broken library. How could they mess this up this bad?

I gave it another go yesterday after following the instructions here: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204964

This time it seems not to have messed up the library on my Mac (the two previous times I tried it were a disaster) but I now have the issue that on my other devices (iPhone, iPad, PC), the only music showing is music I've purchased from iTMS - about 100 tracks compared to the 4000 ripped into my library which should also be available. I've checked that I've got iCloud Music enabled on all of the devices, and when I initially enabled it on my Mac I noticed it uploading the more unusual tracks that I wouldn't have expected to be in Apple's own library.

I've only a couple of small issues since the latest update of iTunes. Still not perfect, but a lot better than it was. Most of my issues are around pre-ordered albums, when a track is released rather than adding it to the album it separating the track out. Really weird and rather annoying.

I've not cancelled the other pre-ordered albums.

Why are you buying (preordering) music while using AM/iCML. Are the tracks not available?

This pre-order was before Apple Music, I forgot to cancel before I signed up to Apple Music. Also I would like to own this album rather than just renting it from Apple.

it just mislabled a bunch of my songs.....changed artwork and track numbers ......

I am getting sick of cleaning apple's mess

Unfortunately, yes.... ..

I have no idea why uploaded tracks get different artwork "applied" automatically.... Maybe Apple thinks its doing u a favor, but if u already have the correct artwork, Apple should automatically apple THAT one, not a random one in the store.

Maybe the whole playlists wouldn't be messed up

One problem would be solved anyway :) Several more to go.

Are we sure these are 'uploaded' songs and not 'matched' ones?
