Dang! Wish I'd looked here - just noticed that my iMessage wasn't working and went through the process of resetting (network settings, iMessage, FaceTime). However, iMessage still down for me. (Southern California)
 
Reminds me of the RIM outages. Hope Apple doesn't follow. At least email does not rely on their servers.

Just heard the iMessage "whoop" on a test message I sent my wife a few minutes ago, and it shows as having been delivered.
 
it's been up and down all day here. Messages were still being sent tho, just over SMS and MMS instead. I did even get one come through as an email!

Seemed to be working fine about an hour ago again, then crapped out again.

Not really surprising. I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again: Apple CAN NOT do online services. They suck at it.

Outsource it to someone like Amazon or Rackspace who know what they are doing.

It does if you were (stupid enough to be) using iCloud/Me mail.
 
I just got off the phone with Verizon and they said that the Apple servers are down. They should be up in a few
 
Not working. It's not sending. And on the other end it's saying delivered but I'm not getting messages.
