It is surely the best way I have been spent before Zagg. I also have it on my iPad. I had enough screen protectors for my old iPod and iPhones, so I did not have high expectations for it anyway.

does any one know what the difference is between the zagg invisible shield front screen protector and the case friendly shield? i want to get one but i don't want it ruined by my case

What coupon are you talking about?

Mine should arrive sometime this week... I still do prefer bare iphone though, it feels very sleek and high quality!

use "holiday40" as coupon code when you check out.
Should give you 40% off.

The case friendly shield is more for the slider style cases. Protectors usually have a difficult time if they are cut to the edge of the glass. These are cut slightly smaller that allows the slider case to go on. It doesn't affect the performance.

i have a case that cover the entire rim of the phone.

Ignoring the fact that zagg has a black friday sale and I could have saved around $10 last week, mine got delivered yesterday and I've put it on last night. My impression is:

- It makes my iPhone very rubbery. Good for back and side, not really for front.
- Home button sticker is awfully hard to install. I screwed it and considering to just peel it off altogether.
- the body is now a little bit more prone to fingereprints
- does not take retina display away even for one bit. Except when you turn off the display (a little bit visible in that case)
- installation takes a while, around 30 minutes
- some dusts are trapped inside the case, and i cant get it out without peeling them altogether. Note that I have actually try to be very careful not to install it in dusty environment. It stilll got trapped
- bubbles are almost completely gone. I had a few last night. Gone in around 12 hours.

Overall it's very good, but I'm a bit disappointed by the trapped dusts. Not veery visible from afar, but if you look closely you'll see... Ah well, I can peel it off anytime. Might peel it next year if I don't like it anymore.

I do agree with your facts. But I agree with this one the most!

Well... You know in some apps it's a good thing (for example Ocarina), but not for other apps (e.g. Fruit Ninja). I guess it's a bit of a trade off... Let's see how I'm liking this. I'm mostly just annoyed by the trapped dusts right now.

I bought invisible shields for my iPhone 3G and iPhone 4, but I eventually removed them from both. I used it on my 3G because I didn't want to use a case, but they do have a grippy texture, and they're tricky to apply. They're good for protecting from scratches, but they do nothing if you're looking for drop-protection. That's why I ended up getting a real case for my iPhone 4, because I want it protected if I accidentally drop it.

On my white iPhone 3G, the plastic shield ended up turning a yellowish color from use after about 2 months, but it shouldn't be noticeable on a black iPhone. I also don't like how it makes the screen feel. The quality of the screen is also somewhat compromised; it is very difficult to apply it without getting the tiniest pieces of dust trapped in between the shield and the screen. There's also a weird effect it gives the screen when you look at it really closely---like if specks from the spray that was used to apply the screen is still visible.

Agreed. I guess when I went out to buy an iPhone 6 or 7 when it comes out I won't have anything on it anymore. I think that's the best way to use it according to Apple as well.

When did this forum become full of trolls? We you gettg paid for this or what? I undeerstand that but you dont't have to flame it like that.

THUMBS DOWN, BIG TOES DOWN, D1CK DOWN, EVERYTHING DOWN. THE INVISIBLESHIELD IS A POS! THEIR PRODUCT SUCKS, THEIR SERVICE SUCKS EVEN MORE.
... <snip>

Sorry for your awful experience.

IME, the only (perceived) problem is the slightly heavy friction feel on the front protector. But that even went away with a couple weeks of usage. I also, with phone off, manually swiped my palm across it back and forth several times (with pressure) to lessen the rubbery feel. This helped immensely.

I have the Case Friendly version on front, and and the full body on sides and back (I had a Zagg kiosk swap, for free, the front protector for the case friendly version.)

Additionally, what I like about these, are that fingerprints stay hidden better than <insert commercial generic brand> protectors.

Of course there are other brand name protectors which are just as good (if not WAY better in some folks' eyes), I don't deny that.

To each their own. Just sayin'.
