N NashMan2 macrumors regular Mar 27, 2009 179 80 Oct 23, 2014 #5 My ipad2 was better after 8.1, but still too slow. You might try deleting everything and starting from scratch. I did that with my ipad3 when it got passed down (when the new air 2 arrived) It was much better with a clean install.
