Currently on 7.1.2 JB, iPad mini retina and iPhone 5s. Im curious to try iOS 8 on my iPhone 5s but plan to keep 7.1.2 JB on iPad.

Is it worth losing my JB for? I don't use my Jb for piracy etc just little tweaks, nothing I would miss too much.

So is it worth it?

I say keep your jailbreak and upgrade when the iOS 8 jailbreak is released. If you don't like iOS 8, jailbreak again. 7.1.2 is much smoother than 8.0.2 imo.

First....wait for 8.1

Then... if you use it with OS X Yosemite - it's worth it.

Otherwise it's not.

OSX Yosemite is also on my mind as I would benefit from the new features as I also use a macbook pro retina.

Also I'll be getting a 6 plus in 4 weeks so I won't be using my 5S then anyway, so may as well get ready for the plus and Yosemite?

I guess I'm talking myself around but curious to see if anyone else did update and regrets it.

I will be keeping the iPad mini retina on 7.1.2 JB until iOS 8 JB :apple:

I dropped iOS 7 JB for iOS 8 and im a little bummed because I cant play with themes and tweaks. But other than that I dont miss any of my tweaks that I had on my iPhone or iPad. When a jailbreak comes out for iOS 8 ill probably only put AdBlocker and UntrustedHostsBlocker on and call it a day. I hate ads.

I caved in and updated my iPad but I'd rather keep my phone jailbroken.

Have you seen Weblock on the app store? Could be a temp solution for you to blocking ads.

Stick with 7.1.2. I regret updating to ios 8.

Currently on 8.1 beta 2 and its a mess.....

Like others, keep the JB!

I upgraded to 8.0 when it was released and really, didn't see anything there that was worth losing what I had jailbroken. I went back to 7.1.2 a few days later.

i'd stay with your JB. i've been experiencing more than my fair share of issues, especially with the Music app, right now my most used app since i'm abroad. Though there are some nice things about 8, like the ability to see all the attachments in a text message thread, so that you can delete or archive them.

I don't think there's much difference between iOS7 and iOS 8, maybe because I don't really like widget and all the keyboards available haven't support my language yet.

But I only uses JB for several tweaks that I can live without, that's why I upgraded to iOS8. Still iOS JB > iOS stock.

i had it for about an hour on my iPhone 5 but i missed too many things like no passcode on approved wifi networks and convenient stuff like that so i went back to 7.1.2 when i still had the chance. i am gonna get an iPhone 6 soon so i will keep the jb on my 5 and hopefully ios 8.1 on my 6 by then

Stick with 7.1.2 , jailbroke or not... I'd take the stability and speed of 7.1.2 any day over the new features of IOS 8.0.2 that I don't really need or use.

I take lockscreen mail management, custom keyboards and notification widgets over any JB. Happy 8.1B2 user here.

No it's not! ios has to be the worst upgrade ever.
I have been using it for a few weeks on a 5s with horrible results.
Performance issues, crashing apps, stuttering and delays.
Even picking up a call takes an extra second or two.
I regreted the switch and missed my jailbreak immediately.
Yesterday I received my new 6 plus 128GB.
The performance is so bad it makes me think I am using an iPhone 3G.
Scrolling through photos or music stutters so much that it's not enjoyable. Nothing feels fluid and smooth as it did on ios 7.
Rotating a photo taken with the iPhone takes about 20 seconds!!
The camera has a huge delay. Even pressing the shutter to take a picture has a delay.
Overall performance is unacceptable for such a powerful phone... Or any phone for that matter.
It makes the experience the worst one in a long time.
Ios 8 is not ready. The rushed to release it but it feels like it's still a beta.
To top it off, Apple stopped signing ios 7, so if u are lucky not to be on an iPhone 6 u still can't downgrade...
I am screwed since the 6 plus can't even use 7.
Same goes for Mac OS Yosemite.
I've been using it for a while now and it's in golden master status and it is definitely not ready for release next week when it is clearly not ready and willing become another ios 8 disappointment...
